As a concept, I love the BAR. But it is unnecessarily heavy and bulky for what it delivers. Part of that is due, I am sure, to the .30-06 cartridge, but it is nevertheless heavy and bulky, and that without a quick-change barrel. Persons of smaller stature don’t fit it well.
That said, it was fun to shoot from the bipod and quite controllable.
Well you do have a point on this. But it got the job done as a lot of Germans, Japanese, Koreans, Chinese, Vietnamese etc etc etc could testify to but they are all now hovering at room temperature.
