Closest I ever came to divorce was a trip to Disney. Who wants to leave hot and humid Houston area and vacation in Hot and Humid Florida.

Florida like the hill country of Texas, really all of Texas was probably pretty wonderful till Air Conditioning allowed Yankees to come down and stay. Not that they were all bad but there are to many. Same with people from south of the border.
Went to an amateur radio convention of sorts in Orlando this spring and everyone there who was from Florida was Yankee.

Got a BIL and SIL there too and they live in the villages. They did everything but beg us to move down there.
After I had enough of that bs I finally told them I would rather be a corner post in Texas than the Governor of Florida.
My wife can go there all she wants and we both get a vacation.
I live 35 miles from Houston and while it has been vilified as a crime ridden hell hole I love the restaurants and the feeling of it and I am not the least bit afraid to go there. Bring close to some of the best hospitals in the world does not hurt either.
I would like to go on an iguana hunt with my Benjamin Marauder and the go out for dinner and eat a bunch of stone crab, but the food is crap in the villages. They got a rich trapped customer base and they serve crap for food knowing there are plenty coming to replace these old Yankees as they die off.
