I have owned 7 rifles in 218 Bee… only one was “I improved”
I found it was not worth the cost… the standard Bee is under loaded because of the wimpy rifles it first came out in.
My current Bee is a standard in a Ruger 1s (I thunk 🙂 )
And I bought the very last benchrest 218 dies from Forster.
Funny on how great minds think alike. In that I myself have owned a few 218 Bees and I gave my son a Ruger #1 in that caliber too. Which made him one VERY happy camper!
That and I agree with you that the Bee is not a world beater of a round compared to say the 5.56. Also finding a box of it nowadays is incredibly hard and VERY expensive to boot.
(The last box I bought of 50 rounds cost me well over a C note over in Morro Bay Ca.)
But it is a fun round to shoot and it does draw attention at the range. So go figure right? Anyways thanks for the information.
