Soldiering War

A Soldier of the Frasers Highlanders Regiment circa 1750’s North America

I am always amazed at how much gear and unrealistic uniforms that Troops have had to hump around in a combat zone. Like this crusty old sweat of the 78th Fraser Highland Regiment during the French & Indian war.

But then I suppose that some veterans in the next century will be saying the same thing about the stuff we had to wear and carry today. Seeing as that the one right that all soldiers have is to complain about something.

A side note – A line good officer would & should become very nervous if his troops were not bellyaching about some . Grumpy
