I do not know about you but to me. This rifle looks almost primitive compared to other rifles that I have seen over the years.
To me it looks like one of those rifles out of the Franco- Prussian War of 1870. Maybe the Prussian Needle gun?
But to each his own is what I say. As it will still do it primary mission. I.E. – Teaching the youngsters the art of chasing the Bulls eye and the self discipline that comes with it, Grumpy

I have shot a few break open rifles like the H&R for example. Which frankly, I like them a lot. Especially if you want to try out a new caliber. But do not want to spend a lot f cash for a top of the line gun. But then I am a cheap old Grumpy Type!
