A bit of history…
Category: Anti Civil Rights ideas & “Friends”
Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force.
If you want me to do something for you, you have a choice of either convincing me via argument, or force me to do your bidding under threat of force. Every human interaction falls into one of those two categories, without exception.
Reason or force, that’s it. In a truly moral and civilized society, people exclusively interact through persuasion. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.
When I carry a gun, you cannot deal with me by force. You have to use reason and try to persuade me, because I have a way to negate your threat or employment of force.
The gun is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound woman on equal footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on equal footing with a 19-year old gang banger, and a single guy on equal footing with a car load of drunken guys with baseball bats.
The gun removes the disparity in physical strength, size, or numbers between a potential attacker and a defender.
There are plenty of people who consider the gun as the source of bad force equations. These are the people who think that we’d be more civilized if all guns were removed from society, because a firearm makes it easier for an armed mugger to do his job. That, of course, is only true if the mugger’s potential victims are mostly disarmed either by choice or by legislative fiat–it has no validity when most of a mugger’s potential marks are armed.
People who argue for the banning of arms ask for automatic rule by the young, the strong, and the many, and that’s the exact opposite of a civilized society. A mugger, even an armed one, can only make a successful living in a society where the state has granted him a force monopoly.
Then there’s the argument that the gun makes confrontations lethal that otherwise would only result in injury. This argument is fallacious in several ways. Without guns involved, confrontations are won by the physically superior party inflicting overwhelming injury on the loser.
People who think that fists, bats, sticks, or stones don’t constitute lethal force, watch too much TV, where people take beatings and come out of it with a bloody lip at worst. The fact that the gun makes lethal force easier works solely in favor of the weaker defender, not the stronger attacker. If both are armed, the field is level.
The gun is the only weapon that’s as lethal in the hands of an octogenarian as it is in the hands of a weight lifter. It simply wouldn’t work as well as a force equalizer if it wasn’t both lethal and easily employable.
When I carry a gun, I don’t do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I’m looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don’t carry it because I’m afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid. It doesn’t limit the actions of those who would interact with me through reason, only the actions of those who would do so by force. It removes force from the equation… and that’s why carrying a gun is a civilized act.

So, the greatest civilization is one where all citizens are equally armed and can only be persuaded, never forced.
The Biden administration’s new push to regulate highly popular AR-style pistols could net Uncle Sam billions in new tax revenue and rub out a small industry involved in the production of the firearms.
© ATF photo The ATF proposed ruling showed photos of the pistol brace it wants to tax and regulate.
In a newly proposed regulation from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, most owners will have to pay a $200 tax per weapon or radically change it or turn the gun in to be destroyed.
And because ATF said it doesn’t expect anyone to give up their guns, the money would roll in if the rule is adopted.
While the agency estimated that there are 3 million to 7 million of the weapons held by Americans, other agencies and media have put the total at potentially 20 million to 40 million guns and regulated parts.
At those levels, the agency’s cash register could collect up to $8 billion in the first year of the new rule if everyone complied.
The 71-page rule signed by Attorney General Merrick Garland would change the classification of the guns popular at ranges and in some hunting circles to a category of “dangerous” weapons and subject to a Al Capone-era rule aimed at ending gangland killings with sawed off shotguns and rifles.
The rule cited just one deadly shooting where an AR pistol was used.
At issue is a stabilizing brace attached to the butt of the pistol meant to make it easier to shoot with one hand. Many are extendable and some owners use the pistols as rifles. That, said ATF, turns the shorter barreled pistols into regulated “short barrel rifles.”
Because the firearms and the braces haven’t been regulated, it is unclear how many have been sold. The National Shooting Sports Foundation told Secrets that the ATF’s estimate of up to 7 million is low. And on his new site The Reload, arms journalist Stephen Gutowski cited a report of up to 40 million guns and braces.
The ATF rule also suggested that there are eight major makers of the braces, and their industry would be put in jeopardy if it is adopted.

“A man’s got to have a code, a creed to live by, no matter his job.” — John Wayne
Once upon a time, there was “The Code of the West.” That was long ago, far away and in another country. In the US today “The Code of the Left” seems to prevail in a large swath of the population. I’ve compared the two here.
WEST * Never shoot an unarmed or unwarned enemy. This was also known as “the rattlesnake code”: always warn before you strike. However, if a man was being stalked, this could be ignored.
LEFT * Always smear a blameless or dangerous political enemy. Lying and innuendo are approved and rewarded. Be the rattlesnake. Unless the man is stalking the same office you are. In that case smear early and smear often. Lie big and lie long.
* Don’t inquire into a person’s past. Take the measure of a man for what he is today.
* There are no “people,” only “social policies.” Don’t inquire into a social policy’s past or that policy’s likely consequences for the future. Take the measure of a policy by how closely it maps to the Socialist Utopia that has already killed and crippled hundreds of millions of people. Dream big nightmares.
* Never steal another man’s horse. A horse thief pays with his life.
* Always look to steal another man’s money with a “tax.” Always ask your fellow citizen to reach for his wallet. All tax thieves are rewarded with a fat government pension and fatter health plan.
* Respect the land and the environment by not smoking in hazardous fire areas, disfiguring rocks, trees, or other natural areas.
* Respect the small, endless fears of everyone in the environment by not smoking anywhere at anytime unless it is copious amounts of really righteous dope. Remember the first commandment of the Leftist: “Tobacco and Fox News bad. Dope and the New York Times good.” Seek to have laws passed enabling everyone to smoke as much dope as they want. Then they will be too stoned to see through your insane plans. They will even think that more taxes on the rich means higher government revenues. Praise those who are disfiguring rocks, walls, and buildings with graffiti as “artistes.” Return forests and farmland to their natural state — especially if you can get them cheap via takings or public domain. Let the surviving population live like the sheep they are and eat grass.
* Defend yourself whenever necessary.
* Do not defend yourself or the country under any circumstances. Killers are just grown-up kids who were abused. Terrorists are just people who haven’t had their issues listened to with compassion. Make sure nobody else can defend themselves. Use only diplomacy to defend your country. Armies are raised only to place sandbags around towns about to be flooded for the fifth time. When that happens use government money to enable the fools who built them to rebuild them.
* Look out for your own.
* Look out, first, last and always, for any other people numerous enough to declare themselves an oppressed group (The minimum number is 3) — except if the group is an actual family, in which case seek to disband it by any means necessary.
* Remove your guns before sitting at the dining table.
* Remove guns. Anytime, anywhere, any reason. The Second Amendment is a misprint. Erase it in the original. Burn all copies. Beat all the guns into cast-iron dual-control dildos and demo on Ellen. Daily.
* Never order anything weaker than whiskey.
* Never order anything stronger than a decaf double latte made with soy milk. Yes, that drink will shrink your testicles and/or ovaries to the size of peas, but you weren’t using them anyway. Make it a double.
* Always fill your whiskey glass to the brim.
* Always buy and carry the really big bottle of Fuji mineral water everywhere so people can know that while you object to Big Oil making windfall profits on $3.00 a gallon gasoline, you have no problem with windfall profits on $10 a gallon bottled water.
* A Cowboy is pleasant even when out of sorts. Complaining is what quitters do, and Cowboys hate quitters.
* A Leftist is mean and bitter even when in office or post-orgasmic stupor. Complaining and turning small complaints into laws is what Leftists at all levels do. Leftists love making new laws from old whines.
* Be hospitable to strangers. Anyone who wanders in, including an enemy, is welcome at the dinner table. The same was true for riders who joined Cowboys on the range.
* Be hospitable to those who “wander” into your country illegally. Anyone who “wanders” into the United States, including an enemy, is welcome at the welfare table. This is especially true for those who will do the voting sane Americans won’t – voting for you.
* Real Cowboys are modest. A braggart who is “all gurgle and no guts” is not tolerated.
* Real Leftists are the first to tell you what wonderful human beings they are. A Leftist who is “all gurgle and no guts” can be easily nominated for high office. See “Waters, Maxine.”
* Consideration for others is central to the code, such as: Don’t stir up dust around the chuck-wagon, don’t wake up the wrong man for herd duty, etc.
* Being inconsiderate of personal God-given liberty is central to the code of the Left. There is no God, there is only the Party and the dream of a socialist utopia. Always stir up dust and regulations around the free market — it can and does donate money to your opponents. Don’t wake up those who depend on government hand-outs for everything. Promise more and keep them comatose.
* Honesty is absolute – your word is your bond, a handshake is more binding than a contract.
* Lies are your friend. Never let facts obfuscate falsehoods. Your word is only good for those your are speaking to at the time you are speaking. After you’ve promised something, forget about it. A handshake and a contract are simply lies waiting for laws to make them inoperative. If caught in a lie and under oath remember to always ask what the meaning of “is” is.

Two groups in Florida believe voters will back a constitutional amendment banning “assault weapons.” (Photo: Ban Assault Weapons Now Facebook)
Two Florida-based anti-gun groups have joined forces to put a constitutional amendment on the state’s 2020 general election ballot to ban “assault weapons” in the Gunshine State.
The organizations – Americans for Gun Safety Now (AFGSN) and Ban Assault Weapons Now (BAWN) – must gather 766,200 petition signatures from registered Florida voters to place the amendment on Florida’s 2020 ballot. Once on the ballot, a Florida constitutional amendment must gain 60 percent of the vote to become law.
“The assault rifle, and its ability to fire approximately one hundred rounds a minute, can be purchased legally with no proof of training, no background check, and no regulations what so ever,” said Gail Schwartz, BAWNs chair, and the aunt of Alex Schachter who was killed at Parkland. “Our goal is to take military-style firearms off the shelves thus saving the lives of innocent people.”
It’s unclear how many signatures the groups can garner in the next two years. Neither have large followings on social media nor high-profile members in leadership positions. Florida has also been a historically pro-gun state, boasting some of the most relaxed gun laws in the country.

Still, the Florida legislature passed a hastily written package of gun control laws in the wake of the Parkland massacre, and the state’s law enforcement agencies haven’t been shy about using the new “red flag” law to confiscate firearms.
The Parkland massacre has also prompted corporations and banks to support anti-gun policies, and these same big-money organizations could choose to throw their weight behind initiatives like this one. Signatures can be bought, and ballot initiatives often depend on which side spends the most money on advertising.
The agenda of these organizations extends far beyond an “assault weapon,” of course. Americans for Gun Safety Now! lists six policies it hopes to push at the national level:
- Eliminate Bump Stocks
- Limit High Capacity Magazines and Armor Piercing Ammo
- Express Support for 2nd Amendment Rights
- Raise the National Limit for all Gun Sales to 21 Years of Age
- Expand Universal Background Checks
- Provide Additional Support for Mental Health Services

“In the immediate future – we will be working hard to bring forth a legislative package that we believe can build bipartisan support to make our schools, and entire nation safer,” AFGSN says on their website.
Ban Assault Weapons Now is less diplomatic.
“Again and again we’ve stood witness to innocent lives lost at the hands of madmen armed with military-style assault weapons like the AR-15,” the group says. “Again and again our elected leaders have failed to act on getting these weapons of war out of civilian hands. For our children, for our families, for our loved ones, for our communities, we must act where our politicians have failed to.”
Ghoulish Virginia Democrats Planning to Dig Up Confederate General’s Grave Without Relocation Plan

In one of the most disturbing tales to come from Richmond, Virginia’s moves to erase history, they are now planning to dig up the grave of Confederate General Ambrose Powell Hill, according to a new report.
To make the matter even more ghoulish, the city has not actually come up with a plan yet on what to do with his remains that have been in the location since 1892.
General Hill had requested he be buried under the memorial in his will, ABC 8 reports.
“He had left in his will that he wanted to be buried in Richmond. I’m not sure why Richmond because he wasn’t from Richmond and didn’t have any particularly strong Richmond roots that I’m aware of,” Bob Balster, president of the Hermitage Road Historic District Association told 8News.
To ensure his wishes were carried out, Confederate veterans who served under Hill raised money for the monument and the land was donated by Lewis Ginter.
The National File reports that an effort “led by Mayor Levar Stoney and backed by Governor Ralph Northam, anti-history Democrats in Richmond, Virginia are finalizing plans to dig up the remains of Confederate General Ambrose Powell Hill, who lies beneath a towering statue dedicated in his honor and now marked for removal amidst efforts to erase all traces of the Confederacy from its former capital.”
Though the city removed nearly all of their Confederate statues during the terroristic Black Lives Matter riots last year, the general’s statue and grave had remained.
To circumvent laws against desecrating graves, the Democrats are reportedly designating the grave a threat to traffic safety, giving them the power to remove it.
According to the National File, under the removal plans, “workers will remove the bronze statue of the General before destroying its stone pedestal and removing the sarcophagus containing his remains. Details of what the city plans to do with Hill’s remains are unclear, and the project is estimated to carry a taxpayer-funded price tag of over $33,000.”

(The Center Square) – Lawmakers in Colorado’s Senate advanced three bills this week that seek to address gun violence – bills that have seen support and opposition break down along party lines.
Each bill passed the Senate State, Veterans, and Military Affairs Committee by a party line vote of 3-2, with Republican members Sen. Cleave Simpson, R-Alamosa, and Sen. Jerry Sonnenberg, R-Sterling, voting no.
House Bill 21-1255 modifies the requirements for gun ownership for people who have been charged with domestic violence or who have protection orders filed against them. It also requires a gun owner to file an affidavit with the court system within seven days of a court issuing a protection order.
The bill was introduced in April, prior to a shooting at a Colorado Springs mobile home park that left seven people dead, including the shooter. A report by 9News suggests that a domestic incident may have sparked the killing.
“Gun violence is an epidemic in the country,” Sen. Brittany Pettersen, D-Lakewood, a sponsor, said in a statement. “Every year it seems we are shocked by a horrific mass shooting that shakes us to our core. But it’s the countless other shootings happening every day that represent the deadliest component of this crisis. Domestic abusers and other violent offenders are largely unobstructed from buying a firearm – putting vulnerable families and communities at increased risk of lethal violence.”
Pettersen is also sponsoring another bill passed by the House on Tuesday – House Bill 21-1298. If passed, the bill would prohibit a person convicted of a violent misdemeanor from owning a firearm for five years.
Specific violent crimes mentioned in the bill include child abuse, hate crimes, cruelty to animals, sexual assault, and third degree assault.
The legislation would also close a common loophole in firearm purchases that allow buyers to receive their firearms within three days of submitting a background check, regardless of whether the buyer passed the check.
To help bolster the state’s gun control efforts, lawmakers are pushing a bill to establish the Office of Gun Violence Prevention within the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
House Bill 21-1299 would create the office and empower it to conduct public awareness campaigns about gun violence and educate the public about existing laws and resources. This would include teaching people how to file Extreme Risk Protection Orders, according to the bill’s text.
“True gun violence prevention requires that we start thinking bigger and more holistically,” a sponsor, Sen. Rhonda Fields, D-Aurora, said in a statement. “Making top-down regulations without investing in grassroots education will only limit our policies’ effectiveness.”
HB21-1255 and HB21-1299 will head to the Senate Appropriations Committee next.
HB21-1298 will be heard by the full Senate Committee of the Whole.
