In 1970 I purchased a new Browning HiPower to replace a 2” Smith as an off-duty weapon. I quickly realized that it wouldn’t fire with the magazine removed. (A loaded paperweight.) I had a gunsmith remove the safety the same day. We counted rounds fired and when one was left, changed magazines. Never less-lethal for a second.
Thank for the information and the efforts that you put into them!
