Mybe I should of gone into archaeology instead of History, nah!

This is a photograph of a P.08 Luger Parabellum pistol recovered from an archaeological excavation deep in a German forest, where it had been buried for decades.
From the position of human remains and the types of other weapons found, we can assume that it was a small fortification, in the nature of a machine gun nest. Also found at the site were Waffen-SS ammunition and uniform ornamentation, as well as captured Russian weapons.
