Fashion Faux Pas As Two Texans Both Attend Wedding Wearing The Same Gun by BabylonBee.com

FORT WORTH, TX — In a regrettable fashion faux pas, two Texans came to a wedding wearing the same gun.

The social awkwardness was apparent right from the get go as the two men arrived together at the venue wearing their formal cowboy wear consisting of big boots, big hats, and big six-shooters.

As they emerged from the same vehicle, it became noticeable right away that they were both wearing the same big showy Colt Single Action Army “Peacemaker” in .45 Colt. Both guns even featured the same nickel-plating and custom engraving of a Texas Star with their own initials.

“Hi Ted! It’s so good to see you! My, that’s a big gun!” said a relative of the bride.

“Everything is bigger in Texas!” Ted replied with a cowboy braggadocio.

“Oh wow! And your friend Tim is wearing the same gun! You see him over there? Did you guys plan on twinning today? That’s so cute!”

“What? No! Uh, of course not!” replied Ted.

“Are you guys together?” asked the wedding coordinator which caused some awkward glances between Ted and Tim.

“Yes! Uh, I mean, no! I mean, we came together in the same car, but we’re not together together!” both stammered out before finding out she was just asking if they were assigned to the same table for the reception.

At publishing time, 18 more people had asked if Ted and Tim were together since they were wearing the same gun.
