Back when I was a lot younger. I talked to my German relatives who had fought the Russians. One who was at Kursk and the other was captured in the Crimea.
The bottom line they told me was that you do NOT want these folks in your area. In that they will rob, rape, kill, kidnap & or torture anybody that they wanted to w/o any fear of official disapproval. Since the Russian High Command ALWAYS have a Boys will be Boys attitude when it comes to Russian war Crimes.
As any modern day Ukrainian would tell you.
So to paraphrase one long dead Czar. The only allies America has is its Armed Forces. That & hopefully our “leadership” will steer us clear of having a go at these folks anytime soon.
